Leadership
Keep in mind, you are always leading. Lead well.
We can take a lot of lessons in leadership from a herd of horses. The leader's primary responsibilities are choosing the direction and providing security for the herd. They also lead from behind to help develop skills and confidence in future leaders. If you watch a herd of horses, you will see that the leader is the one who moves her feet the least. What are some other characteristics of a herd leader:
-
Calm & stable
-
Self aware & self regulating
-
Listens attentively
-
Responsive
-
Sets the pace
-
Herd safety is top priority
-
Inspects Changes
-
Doesn't require attention, but doesn't shrink away from it either
Come meet my herd and see what you can learn!
We have regular leadership programs available that I designed in collaboration with Monique Ravesloot, founder of EquineFlow. Or if you have more specific needs, we can design a 1, 2, or 3-day program tailored towards you and your team. Some examples of what we can offer in a customized program are Leading Through Change, Agile Leadership, Leadership Communications, and Self-Mastery as a path to Leadership.

Ask about our special 2 month leadership program:
-
Starts and ends with a full day at the farm
-
Online or on-site 1/2 day mid way through
-
Bi-weekly 1-1 coaching calls in between
-
Small group activities outside of class time to build skills.
Can't make it to the farm?
I can come to you with more traditional methods to build these strengths.
Team Building
When change is the new normal, flexibility is the new stability.
Building flexible, resilient teams can save organizations thousands of dollars a year in employee turnover and disengagement. One member can impact the entire team.
To thrive teams need:
-
Trust
-
Shared goals
-
Cooperation
-
Flexibility
-
Constructive conflict
-
Shared leadership
-
Recognition
Equine assisted team building is a is a unique way for teams to develop these skills and qualities. Working with horses encourages cooperation and trust. Because horses are prey animals, they are very attentive creatures who respond to the energy of each individual and the group as a whole. They often sense our emotions long before we do.

Horses respond to the energy you bring.
Some people say that horses are like mirrors to us. I prefer to say that they read and respond to the energy we bring. Horses give us the rare opportunity to really take a look at how we’re coming across to others. They react to the energy we’re giving them, whether it be positive or negative, and provide us with immediate feedback that reveals hidden dynamics within the team.

We'll design a program just for your team.
Coaching
You've go a lot going on.
Sometimes you need someone to help you cut through the clutter and get to the heart of the issues you're dealing with in life. If you find yourself stuck, or falling into patterns that don't serve you or your organization, coaching can help. We can work on the farm with the horses, in nature, over Zoom, or at your office.
I won't offer opinions or advice, but I will help you shed some light on the answers that will serve you best.
